Do you build new homes, or just remodel?
Both. We build complete custom homes and barndominium-style homes from the ground up on your land, and we take on additions, outdoor living spaces, and whole-home or single-room remodels.
Where do you work?
Across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, including rural acreage. Travel is figured into the bid, so there's no surprise on distance.
How does a bid work?
You call or send a bid request with photos. After a site visit, you get a written scope and price with allowances listed line by line.
Can I build on land I already own?
Yes. Building on your lot or acreage is most of what we do. We'll look at access, utilities, drainage, and permitting on the first visit.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. Permits, inspections, and scheduling of licensed trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) all run through Walter as your single point of contact.
How do payments work on a build?
A draw schedule tied to construction milestones is written into the contract, and we coordinate with your construction lender's inspections and draws.
Are you insured?
Yes. W.E. Durham Construction carries general liability coverage, and every trade contractor on our jobs provides a current certificate of insurance before they start.
I'm a tradesperson. How do I get on your jobs?
Apply on the Join Our Trades page. You'll upload photos of your work, insurance and license documents, and a W-9, and sign our contractor agreement online.
